NA Standing Committee on Defence Producation meets

The Standing Committee on Defence Production met in the Parliament House today, the 22nd September, 2016, in Committee Room No. 7, at 02:00 p.m under the Chairmanship of Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, MNA, regarding to discuss the role of Directorate General Procurement, (Army).

2.     The Committee members were informed by the Ministry of Defence Production & Ministry of Defence about irrelevancy of the role of Director General Army with MoDP. The Committee members were informed by the representative of MOD that DG (Army) was working directly under the supervision of Chief of Army Staff. 

3.    The Committee unanimously welcomed the marvelous speech delivered by the Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan in United Nation, highlighted the issue of occupied Kashmir and Kashmiris sacrifices for independency of Kashmir according to the UN resolutions. The Committee members were of the opinion that it would be a enormous message to the Indian Prime Minister and Indian Nation.

 4.    The Committee unanimously appreciated the role of General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), being an excellent and outstanding Commander of Pakistan Army. The Committee admired the commitment of Pakistan Army and his efforts towards peace process in the Country. Khawaja Sohail Mansoor, Chairman of the Committee said that Pakistani nation and all political parties are behind the Pakistan Army and Chief of Army Staff against Indian belligerence on line of control (LOC) without any political differences. Committee members strongly supported/seconded the statement of the Chairman. Non-Muslim members of the Committee give their message to India that “PAKISTANI SOIL IS MOTHER OF ALL NON-MUSLIMS AND EVERY ONE KNOWS HOW TO PROTECT AND RESPECT THE MOTHER” The Committee members were of the opinion that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be the back bone of Pakistan economy, in future.

 5.    The Committee decided that Committee will pay its visit to MEMORIAL OF SHAUDHA OF PAKISTAN ARMY, shortly at GHQ Rawalpindi. The Committee directed to MoDP for making necessary arrangements in this regard.

 6.     Meeting was attended by Mr. Muhammad Khan Daha, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, Chudhary Hamid Hameed, Mr. Muhammad Moeen Wattoo, Mr. Bhawan Das, Ms. Amra Khan, Ms. Iffat Liaqat, Ms. Asyia Nasir MNAs, besides the senior officers of the Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) and Directorate General Procurement, (Army).
