Pakistan Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Innocent Palestinian People: Says NA Deputy Speaker

Islamabad August 23, 2016: Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed has said that people and Government of Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinian people and fully supports their struggle for a separate homeland. He reiterated Government of Pakistan’s unwavering support for early resolution of core issue of Palestine. He expressed these views while talking to Imam of Masjid-e-Aqsa, Sheikh Akrama Saeed Sabri, who called on him at Parliament House, today.

The Deputy Speaker said that resolution of problems of Muslim Ummah was foremost priority of Pakistan’s foreign policy and would continue its dimplomatic efforts for their resolution. While appreciating the holding of Hurmat Harmain Sharifan Conference in Pakistan, he said that participation of Ulma, Mushaikh and Intellectuals from Muslim Countries in such a large numbers was an honour for us and Pakistan endorses the stance of Huramat Harmain Sharifan Conference. The Deputy Speaker said that security of Harmain Sharifan was integral part of our faith and the people of Pakistan will not withhold any sacrifice for the security of Holy places.

Murtaza Javed Abassi said that Pakistan would never host the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU) Conference being its Member since it would not extend invitation to Israel being Member of the IPU. He underlined the need for unity amongst the Muslim Ummah to confront the challenges presently being faced by Muslim World.     

Imam of Masjid-e-Aqsa, Sheikh Akrama Saeed Sabri thanked the people and government of Pakistan for their continued support for the resolution of core issue of Palestine. He said that the people of Palestine gave immense importance to the Pakistan. He said that Pakistan always supported Palestine in difficult time and did not recognize Israel. He also commended role of Pakistan Parliament in this regard. He said that Parliament of Pakistan raised the voice against the Israeli aggression in Palestine and passed numerous resolutions against it. He prayed for unity and solidarity amongst Muslim Ummah.
