Islamabad, July 21st 2016: The 27th meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control was held today under the Chairmanship of Rana Shamim Ahmed Khan, MNA.

The meeting was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Then, the Committee offered “FATEHA” on the death of the spouse of one Hon. Member Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur. The Committee showed its displeasure because no person was attended the meeting from Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control and Ministry of Law and Justice. The Committee unanimously decided to move Privilege Motion against the attitude of the both Ministries because the Privilege of the Hon. thirteen Members was breached. Further, it was also decided that a letter will be sent to the Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control to take grim action against the responsible officers those did not bother to attend the meeting and nor inform the Committee about the reason of their absence.   

The Committee unanimously passed following two resolutions;

    a.    The Committee condemned the killing of approximately 50 innocent Kashmiri’s by the Indian’s Forces in their Indian Occupied Kashmir during last few days. The Committee appealed to the United Nation to take notice on it.

    b.    The Committee condemned the terrorist attack happened in Saudi Arabia in last days and entire Muslim nation was shocked. The Committee appealed to all the Muslim countries to make strategy to prevent such type of incidents in future.

The Committee unanimously decided to cancel the scheduled meeting to be held on 27.07.2016 as protest against the attitude of the Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control and Ministry of Law and Justice.

Members, Mover/MNA Mr. Ghalib Khan, Dr. Ibadullah, Syed Iftikhar-ul-Hassan, Makhdoom Syed Ali Hassan Gillani, Mr. Nauman Islam Shaikh, Mr. Ehsan-ur-Rehman Mazari, Nawab Muhammad Yousuf Talpur, Dr. Arif Alvi, Syed Asif Hasnain, Ms. Naeema Kishwer Khan, Mr. Sher Akber Khan and Ms. Aliya Kamran were attended the meeting.
