Islamabad April 11, 2016: The Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq received Turkish Parliamentary delegation led by Mr. Ismail Kahraman, Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly at Nur Khan Airbase, Rawalpindi this evening. He was accompanied by Convener Pak-Turk Friendship Group Mr. Muhammad Pervaiz Malik MNA and Senior Officers of the National Assembly Secretariat.

Talking to the distinguished guest, the Speaker said that it was indeed a matter of immense pleasure to receive his Turkish brothers. He said that Pakistan and Turkey enjoy close fraternal relations and close and frequent contacts at the highest level have been the hallmark of these relations. He was convinced that the parliamentary contacts would bring both the brotherly countries more closer. He wished him a pleasant stay in Islamabad.

Reciprocating, Mr. Ismail Kahraman Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly said that he was touched by the arousing welcome accorded to him upon his arrival in Pakistan. He said that Turkey considers Pakistan as its brother and desires to further solidify the fraternal bonds. He agreed that parliamentary interaction between both the countries was a way forward in this regard.
