Islamabad: May 14, 2015; Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker National Assembly has said that all the progressive political forces are united on the issues of national importance and for the betterment of the masses. He expressed these views while meeting with the newly appointed Governor of Punjab, Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana who called on him in the Parliament House, today.

During the meeting‚ matters relating to important issues of national and public interest also came under discussion.  The Speaker said that Pakistan is currently undergoing the menace of extremism and terrorism which could be tackled through concerted efforts by all. He expressed his distress over the incident of terrorism in Karachi. He said that the perpetrators could be apprehended and brought to justice.

He said that that his appointment as Governor Punjab is the reflection of confidence and trust of leadership reposed in his abilities. He expressed hope that he would utilize his experience and professional capabilities for the welfare of the people of the Province.

Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana said that continuity of democratic process is imperative for peace and progress in the country. He said that the political forces in the country should remain united to resolve the problems confronting to the country. He said that the leadership has reposed great confidence in him and he will work hard to come up to their expectations.
