Pakistani Expatriates: Major Contributors In Economic Progress Of Kuwait

Islamabad May 13, 2015: Speaker National Assembly of Kuwait Mr. Marzouq Ali M. Al-Ghanim has said that Pakistani expatriates in Kuwait have a major contribution in the economic growth of his country. He said that Government of Kuwait was keen in acquiring services of doctors, engineers, educationists and skilled labour from Pakistan. The Kuwaiti Speaker said this talking to the Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and the Members of the Pakistan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship Group during a reception hosted in honour of Kuwaiti Parliamentary Delegation, here in Islamabad.

He assured that resolution of visa related issues to Pakistanis desirous of working in Kuwait has been prioritized by his government and a proposal for establishment of Visa issuing authority in Embassy of Kuwait in Islamabad was also under serious consideration. He informed that Kuwaiti Minister for Interior will be visiting Pakistan to discuss the modalities in this regard. He praised Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq for raising these pertinent issues related to Pakistani community during his visit to Kuwait and his meetings in Islamabad.

The Kuwaiti Speaker praised the sagacity of present Pakistani leadership for leading the country on the path of economic progress. He said that Kuwaiti investors have expressed their keen interest to be part of the ongoing economic activity in Pakistan. He said that major investment would land in Pakistan in coming days through Kuwait Investment Company in petroleum, power and manufacturing sectors.

The Kuwaiti Speaker praised the Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for his pursuit of strengthening bilateral parliamentary relations with Kuwait. He said that Parliamentary interaction would bring people, governments and Parliaments of Pakistan and Kuwait more closer. He also appreciated the support of Government of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia and GCC countries in wake of Yemeni crisis. The Speaker thanked his Pakistani colleagues for according arousing welcome to him and his delegation on arrival and stay in Islamabad.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq thanked his Kuwaiti counterpart for his kind words and said that perpetual contacts between Pakistani and Kuwaiti Legislatures would cement relations between two countries. He wished his counterpart and his delegation, a pleasant stay in Pakistan.
