NA Speaker Approves Changes in the Composition of Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms

Islamabad April 24, 2015: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has approved changes in the composition of the Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms. A notification to this effect has been issued by the National Assembly Secretariat.
The Speaker National Assembly has approved changes in the composition of the Electoral Reforms Committee in pursuance of motions adopted by the National Assembly on 19th June, 2014 and the Senate on 30th June, 2014 and in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 3 of the Rules of the Parliamentary Committee on Electoral Reforms and in consultation with the Leaders of the Parliamentary Parties in the Senate through the Chairman Senate.
According to the notification, Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood, Senator Hilal-ur-Rehman, Senator Mir Israrullah Khan Zehri and Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed have been withdrawn from the Committee. Whereas, Senator Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Senator Saeed Ghani, Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Senator Hidayat Ulllah, Senator Sitara Ayaz and Senator Syed Shibli Faraz have been included in the Committee. Senator Farooq Hamid Naek who has been re-elected to the Senate, will continue as member of the Committee.
