Islamabad, 2nd April, 2015: The Standing Committee on Law, Justice & Human Rights met today in the Parliament House, Islamabad under the Chairmanship of Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk, MNA to consider the following agenda:-

i)    To consider the Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal Bill, 2015.

ii)   To consider the Hindu Marriage Bill, 2015

iii)  Any other item with permission of the Chair.

The Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice & Human Rights briefed the Committee on the Islamabad Subordinate Judiciary Service Tribunal Bill, 2015. The Standing Committee on Law, Justice & Human Rights considered the aforementioned Bill in detail. Thereafter depth deliberation of the Bill, the Committee unanimously passed the Bill under reference with certain amendments therein. While considering the Hindu Marriage Bill, 2015, the Committee decided that Bill in question may be deferred at present as keeping in view the sensitivity of the Bill, the participation of the Members National Assembly from the Hindu community may be ensured in the next Committee meeting.
