Islamabad December 8, 2014: Finance Committee of the National Assembly met under the chairmanship of Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Parliament House, this afternoon.

 

 

The meeting was attended by MNAs Chaurdhry Armaghan Subhani, Raja Muhammad Javed Ikhlas, Malik Ihtebar Khan, Sardar Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa, Ms. Leila Khan, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Secretary National Assembly, Additional Secretary M/o Finance & Revenue and other senior officers of the National Assembly Secretariat.

 

The committee approved the minutes of the last meeting held on 17th June, 2014. The committee also approved the up-gradation of post of Officer on Special Duty (PAC) from BS-19 to 20 keeping in view the long and satisfactory performance of the incumbent officer.

 

The Speaker also apprised the Committee members about the proposed HR policy of the National Assembly. He informed that the HR policy was in process of finalization wherein capacity building modules for the Staff have been proposed. He said that extensive consultation with all the employees from grade 1 to grade 22 have been carried out and their suggestions would be incorporated therein. He further apprised that it has been proposed that the promotion of staff in future would be purely on merit. He said that the policy would be implemented after approval of the competent forum.
