Honourable Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has assured the employees for resolution of their problem.

Islamabad; October14, 2014: In a first ever interaction in the Parliamentary history with the employees of the National Assembly Secretariat from BPS 1 – 15, Honourable Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has assured the employees that their grievance will be heard on regular basis by the Honourable Speaker and would be addressed accordingly to the legal framework available within the existing National Assembly Secretariat rules .Mr. Speaker assured that rules can be emended keeping in view
the best interest of the employees and effective working of the National Assembly Secretariat.
 
The Speaker informed the meeting that new HR Policy is being framed in consultation with representatives of the employees in order to raise the working of National Assembly Secretariat. The existing inefficient posts will be declared dying cadre and in order to instill new blood, vigour and expertise, National Assembly will include Data Entry Operators and Research Associates in the new HR Policy through National Testing Service (NTS) and Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) where required.
 
Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq while listening to the grievance, encouraged the employees to put in written complaints and also file in their suggestions in writing directly to his office, He assured the participants that all decisions will be in accordance with Estacode of the Federal Government. The recruitment will be criterion based and
existing capacity will be enhanced through training and capacity building programme, he added.
 
The procedure of promotion will be streamlined and DPC will be held every three months and advance notice will be displayed in the Speaker Chamber, he said. The recently installed biometric system to record the attendance of the employees is taken as positive way forward in increasing the efficiency and transparency of the institution, A complete review of the biometric system was discussed with the Speaker in the meeting, The employees thanked the Honorable Speaker for efforts to streamline the issues based on merit and termed him as father figure for them.
 
Mr. Sadiq thanked the meeting and hoped that they will work with new zeal and commitment to strengthen the National Assembly
