Islamabad 1st, July 2014:  Mr. Muhammad Riaz an officer of Custom Group has assumed the charge of Secretary   National Assembly w.e.f 1st July, 2014.  He has become the Secretary National Assembly after the retirement of Mr. Karamat Hussain Niazi, former Secretary National Assembly on 30th June, 2014.  He is 19th Secretary of the National Assembly.   He was serving as Additional Secretary (Administration) in this Secretariat before assuming the charge of the Secretary and brings experience of serving the Government in various departments including his postings in Pakistani Missions abroad.
