China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a flagship project that has unfolded massive opportunities for Pakistan. It promises peaceful and prosperous future, as the project is intrinsically linked with lasting economic benefits and sustainable development of the people of the country.

CPEC will not only pave way for enhancing Pakistan’s economic connectivity beyond the region of South Asia but also expedite the movement of people across the regions thereby promoting tourism and cultural cooperation. Moreover, decades of invaluable engagement with our all-weather Chinese friends under the auspices of CPEC will magnify knowledge and expertise of our people and unleash considerable employment opportunities.  

Timely completion of projects envisaged under CPEC framework will prove expedient for resolving multifarious issues of our people pertaining to infrastructure, energy, agriculture, industries, and socio-economic uplift. Undeniably, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor will prove silver lining for the future generations of Pakistan, as it covers almost every realm of human life from ensuring socio-economic development to having potential prospects of increasing Pakistan’s outreach.

Keeping in view CPEC’s strategic and economic implications, the Vision of CPEC has to be realized with the strongest coordination amongst Parliament, Executive and every concerned quarter.  The Parliamentary Committee on CPEC, composed of both august Houses of the Parliament, is fully committed to ensure robust oversight of the executive, promote consensus in federation by resolving the grievances of provinces and regions, recommend improvements resulting in cost and time reduction and expedite the process of the implementation of CPEC projects by  reducing bureaucratic hurdles. 

In addition to this, support and dedication of Honourable Members of this Committee and the efforts of every concerned quarter are highly monumental in achieving desirable goals of CPEC and ensuring that the economic prosperity may reach to every nook and corner of this country.
